I enjoyed reading your memories of your home town. It's sad that they have been disrupted by such a violent event.
That was interesting and enjoyable. My own small home town has a long history of both good and violent things. It's the way of the world, unfortunately.
It was interesting for a foreigner to read about the history, background and situation in "small town" America. We get all too little of that.
wow! that was an interesting history of an impressive structure!!
I knew some one who once lived in Binghampton but it was during the 1980's . It looks like a very interesting city. Isn't it funny that no matter how far we roam we always think of home as where we grew up.
Nice great place of history. Thanks for sharing.
Great story and post.
BTW. The one I posted is really a blue building.
My camera captured the combination reflections of blue clouds and another blue building across.:)
Roger, Thank you for sharing about your hometown. I hate that there're guns to be bought to begin with...
We grow older, and more nostalgic about our birthplace..gets me thinking too.
Wow, great story :)
A terrific walk down memory lane with you. Thank you for sharing it. Very interesting to be sure. Takes me back, makes me think as well.
What a great B post! Loved the photos and thank you for sharing the story as well.
All very interesting, but what I really want to know is this; why were you nearly arrested for swimming in the river? Is it forbidden?
Jay- It was an apparel issue.
I would've never heard of Binghamton if it weren't for this entry! Thanks for visiting my blog. You've given me an idea for the letter "C".
Lin from "C"hicago
Binghamton, Binghamton, Binghamton, Binghamton! I will try to remember it's spelled without a p!
It's always nice to have so many memories of the place you grew up! Lovely story.
I read your title, at first, as Birmingham (don't know why) so you can add that to your list of dumb mistakes. An interesting post, you never know another place as well as the town you grow up and roam through as a child.
Interesting to read about your home town. I'll remember the correct spelling from this post!
Very sad to have violence disrupt the town.
I remember Wong. He's the guy who killed 14 people but apologized for his poor English speaking ability
What an interesting place to live in!
Thanks for your visit.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading your memories of your home - and I will henceforth always spell the name without the P!
Hi Roger,
Very interesting post! Thanks for all the info on your home town. My home town has kind of went the same way over the years. Thanks for stopping by my place. Have a great day!!
Sherrie
