Well, Jimmy Carter did some pretty darn good work as ex-president.
Most of the presidents, though, aligned with some pretty nasty polices (like slavery and segregation). So, it’s hard to really think of them without that complexity.
I'd say:
I'm not an American, so all I'll say is that Teddy Roosevelt seems the most interesting ex-president.
Because our Prime Ministers in the Uk aren't limited to two terms, they tend to end their careers either in old age or in ignominious dismissal, spending their remaining years on the speech-making circuit.
But Edward Heath definitely holds the record as the most spectacularly long-term sulking ex-Prime Minister (although in many ways a nice chap, I'm told)
... and yes, George W did sound genuinely contrite.
Great site lots of usefull infomation here.

Dear Roger,
I would like to invite you to write a short review of a new Christian ebook called Land of Canaan: Ancient Hope for Future Peace. See it free online at www.landofcanaan.info and let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Paul
I'm impressed with your site, very nice graphics!
