Today is the 60th birthday of Lesley Ann Warren. She was on Mission: Impossible for a season. But I best remember her as the star of the 1965 version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, for which I own the soundtrack, purchased actually sometime this century. "In my own little corner, in my own little chair, I can be whatever I want to be." Indeed.

Wow! Didn't realize that she was that old.
This reminded me of a long conversation the two of us had in 1988 about Movies and Television, where I told you I loved that version of "Cinderella". You told me that Disney owned the rights to it, and wouldn't release it on Video. I guess when they made the Whitney Houston/ Brandy version, it was alright to put out on tape and disc. Got to protect those sales figures! I read somewhere that it was written by Rodgers and Hammerstein for Broadway, but performed on TV. because they couldn't get a movie studio to back it. Impossible!!!!
