
Fiddle great Vassar Clements died this week. If you don't know who he was, I hope you take an opportunity to find out. I was fortunate to see him play while I was in college at New Paltz, and he was extraordinary. Lung cancer-DAMN!

Oh my god! I hadn't heard that. He was one of the greats and will definitely be missed. Wow.
He was also on a fantastic Dickey Betts album, Highway Call.
I saw him in New Paltz, too...probably around 1976. We were probably at the same show!
Claire-Probably was the '76 show. If it was in the fall, I was selling tickets on behalf of the Student Govt and probably got in for free!
